Can education be a major influence again?
I can't help but think back to when going to school meant more than just getting a high school diploma. School was a place where you went to learn your main subjects; math, science, english, history, and then other things that gave you tools and ideas for your future.
The US is currently having an economical and financial colapse and I strongly believe it is due to the lack of teaching children and young adults the function and importance of finances for themselves and globally. There are so many families that are struggling because they didn't understand how important it is to save money, not max out their credit cards, and have financial goals.
Of course, there is a population that received this type of information and teaching but they are not the majority. I have spoken to many families that were just not prepared for this type of devastation. They never even heard of save up for 6 months of emergency household expenses or the impact certain decisions had on their credit.
Hand In Hand Financial has been meeting individuals and families where they are and equipping them with the educational tools they need to become financially stable. We are also going into the elementary, middle, and high schools to teach some very basic principles to "our" children.
Being able to assist the economy and its financial crisis, I have taken this company into the ditches and caves where many people are laying in devastation and have begun to give them the tools they need to not only survuve but achieve. These tools are also being given to students of all age groups to equip them with the appropriate tools to grow up and eventually be the leaders in this nation.
"Recovery, Stability,& Growth" is a book written for adults that need to financially recover, become stable, and grow. Then the is "FLY" (Financial Literacy for the Young) was written to teach students how to avoid financial pitfalls and train them to become great financial managers personally and in the business world.
Hopefully with bringing education together with financial literacy, Hand In Hand Financial will assist in allowing educational institutions to be a greater influence in the area of finance.
