Hand In Hand Financial

;

FLY is a literacy program geared towards young people.  FLY's curriculum is split into four different programs; Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

FLY was created to address a need for financial literacy amongst youth.  Many kids have grown up knowing what money is, but not gaining always the right uses for money.  Often young people learn how to utilize their money by watching their parents.  If their parents aren't financially literate and conscience of where their money goes and how to save and invest then, their children subsequently follow their pattern.

In today's economy many young people are concerned about the economic status we are currently in.  They have began to spend less and are involved in more conversations surrounding what is going on economically.  With this being such an important issue amongst youth it is also crucial that we teach them now to:

  • Understand basic economics
  • Understand what money is
  • Learn and create budgets
  • Learn and create savings
  • Begin the process of career planning
  • Financial goal setting
  • Knowing the pitfalls of handling money unwisely
  • Gain better understanding of banking
  • Brainstorming ways to earn money now and futuristically
  • Learn to manage credit and debt responsibly

Some of our characters for Lower Elementary & Upper Elementary are:

  • Money and You with Cassy Catepillar
  • Your World and Money with Bubba Butterfly
  • Your Parents and Money with Cappy Cricket
